This may fall into the realm of unanswerable questions, but curiosity has gotten the best of me. Your comment "eccentric and eclectic" made me think about Mr. Cohen's fans, followers, Cohenites, whatever name best suits. I'd love to know how you all feel about the fans and the sense of kinship felt that allows one to approach you, start up a conversation with a near- stranger and say, "Hey, you're Leif! Thanks for all you do - want to join me for coffee?"

I must admit, none of us have used the word kinship, that’s an interesting way of looking at the whole relationship. Our relationship with LC is first and foremost in nature a working one. And when the fans are in the room, they are technically in our working environment — in our office, if you will. That’s why we don’t really stop and chat directly after the show — we’re at the office, on duty, and the audience are at play.

If one were to stroll by a coffee shop, be recognised and invited to share a tea, that might be one thing, but play-dates are a no-no, as far as this guy goes. We’re a private bunch, really.
